Ava Noviello ’26 became interested in forensic psychology when she was a sophomore in high school. In her free time, she would watch crime documentaries and learn about the different personality traits of criminals.
When she realized she could make this new interest her profession, she began researching the best schools for this field – and she found the University of New Haven.
"I chose the University of New Haven for the wonderful program in forensic psychology," said Noviello, of Portland, Conn. "I’ve been in touch with a few students who attend the University, and they speak so highly of the professors and the courses offered."
Noviello hopes to become a crime analyst. Accepted into the University’s Early Action admission program, she will be officially joining Charger Nation this fall as a member of the University’s Class of 2026.
"As college is getting closer, I am most excited about meeting new people and being introduced to new opportunities," she said.
A student-athlete, Noviello participated in indoor and outdoor track and soccer during her high school career. She is also her class treasurer. She looks forward to becoming a Charger and being an active member of the University community.
"I am planning to get involved in some clubs at the University," she said. "Being active on campus will give me the ability to meet new people."
