About Walker

After graduating from Wheaton College, Walker started his career researching cancer immunotherapy at Dana Farber Cancer Institute within the Harvard Institute of Medicine as a research technician. Walker went on to receive his Master's degrees in Cell Biology from Yale Medical School. During his graduate years, Walker's passion for hands-on innovation blossomed as he volunteered at the makerspace MakeHaven in downtown New Haven. This experience, and his lifelong love of making, prompted him to take on the role of Director of Technology and Makerspace for a K-8 school in Newtown, CT. He is excited to transition to serving as the Makerspace Coordinator at the University. Walker oversees the Makerspace space learning environment and coordinates with faculty across many departments to utilize the space. His goal is to foster creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge projects within the university community. In his free time, Walker can be found running trail races (recently completed his second ultramarathon!), building furniture, or playing pickleball.
