About Khaled
Khaled Sayed has a diverse background in the fields of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computational Biology, and Data Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, where he conducted extensive research on automating the process of developing computational models for complicated systems.
After completing his doctorate, Khaled joined the Department of Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 as a Postdoctoral Associate and developed computational and machine learning models for the analysis of multi-omics and microbiome data.
Khaled was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of New Haven in September 2023. In this role, he actively engages with students in the data science program, teaching computer science courses, including Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing.
