Westport Journal: Asteroids in Westport skies topic of talk
Kevin Green, a practitioner in resident of physics, will present a lecture, 'Asteroid Occultations,' at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Westport Astronomical Society.
Kevin Green received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah with a dissertation on the highest known energy cosmic rays. After positions at The University of Michigan and The University of Chicago, he transitioned from academia to the energy sector and worked in that field for 15 years. He's since come back to the Academy but still consults on energy & finance. His current area of interest and research focuses on asteroids and solar system dynamics, Kevin is also keeping abreast with energy and in particular the ongoing transition to greenhouse gas-free sources.
