About Jan
Dr. Jones received her B.A. and M.A. in Sociology/International Studies from Acadia University in Canada and her Ph.D. in Recreation and Leisure Management from the University of Connecticut. She has over ten years of teaching and curriculum development experience in the areas of tourism, hospitality, event management and recreation/leisure studies. In addition to her teaching experience, she has spent the last 20 years conducting research, serving in international scientific committees and presenting in over 14 countries about the importance of sustainable tourism development and management. Her teaching and leadership experience has been highly regarded by educators all over the world as evidenced in her role as contributor for three years to the Teach Middle East Magazine.
