About Carleta
Carleta was born and raised in the island of Jamaica, immigrated to the USA and lived in CT since 1988. She served in the US Army reserve for 6 years and is currently serving the veterans at VA CT as a supervisor in the Laboratory. She is an educator at the VA CT Healthcare system teaching a number of classes such as Creative thinking, Facilitation, Self-Care, and Customer Service. She also serves as the educational coordinator for MLS students at the VA and is a certified coach and mentor in the VA Healthcare system. As a member of CT Team Achilles she helps the disabled participate in mainstream running events. Carleta’s passion is to help others to reach their personal goals. She believes that learning is much more meaningful if you can make connections between things that are seemingly unconnected.
