About Albert
Professor Celotto has worked for the Mayor's Committee on the Arts in New Haven and West Haven CT, and has been Director of Music for the YMCA summer youth programs in New Haven. He has directed various musicals and worked as instrumental director and recruiter on behalf of Albertus Magnus College for musical production in Rome, Italy.
Professor Celotto has played numerous concerts in the U.S. and abroad and in the past has been invited to perform under such notable composers as John Cage and Aaron Copland. Mr. Celotto has also performed at the piano for the world premiere of Charles Ives' Sneak Thief. Professor Celotto is a classically-trained pianist whose performance experience includes solo piano, chamber music, choral, and orchestral concerts.
In addition to this, he has also worked as a keyboard player, recording artist, and consultant for many professional fusion, rock, and blues bands in the greater New Haven area. Professor Celotto is also the composer of the Athletic Department's Flight Song, has provided incidental music for various plays at the University of New Haven, been a book reviewer for Alan and Bacon publishers, and has received the University of New Haven's Award for Distinguished Teaching.
