2026 - 2027 FAFSA Now Available
The 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available to complete online at www.studentaid.gov. As a reminder, the FAFSA needs to be completed each year to be considered for financial aid.
How to Fill Out the FAFSA
1. Set Up Your Account - Create an Account and Username (FSA ID) for studentaid.gov (if you do not have one).
2. Invite Your Contributors - After logging in, the student can send an invite to their parent(s) or other contributors by entering their email addresses.
3. Give Consent - Everyone has to agree to let their tax info be pulled into the FAFSA—it’s quick and secure.
4. Add Financial Info - Use your 2024 tax return (and any other records you need) to fill in the financial sections for both the student and contributors.
5. Review & Submit - Double-check everything, make sure all sections are signed, and then hit submit—you’re done!
Note: It is recommended you complete the form as soon as possible as this will give the Financial Aid Office ample time to review the form and notify you if any additional documentation is needed. Be sure to monitor your University email account for updates and information requests.

Financial Wellness Focus: The Game of Life
Do you know what your life will look like a year from now? Five, ten, or twenty years from now? Wishing and dreaming are encouraged, but for the sake of your finances, it’s best to keep some practical predictions in place, too. Here are some of the most common life decisions that also affect your income and your finances.
Buying a Car: New or used? Purchase or lease?
Continuing Education: Public or private? Certificate degree? Graduate school? Professional degree?
Traveling Abroad: Backpacking excursion or luxury vacation?
Choosing a Career: About so much more than income
Planning a Wedding: Modest DIY or full-fledged affair?
Buying a Home: location, location, location...
Retiring: Will you be ready?

Check your account for holds!
To help you prepare for a successful Spring 2026 registration, we highly encourage all students to check their account for holds prior to their pre-registration date.
Students can check for holds in Self Service Banner (SSB) via the myCharger portal. In SSB click on Student > Registration > Registration Status > Select Spring 2026 > Submit.
If you see a caution sign, you have a hold on your account that will prevent you from registering for classes. Click on View Holds at the bottom of the page for more information.
